Mission
SpaceWorm's mission is to create a community-focused project which will bring value to all holders, as well as anyone who simply comes across us. The level of utility we can continue to add to the ecosystem will depend on project and community growth.
The aim with this dashboard is to help provide a comprehensive overview of the DeFi ecosystem, including all major chains and protocols.
The SpaceWorm crew is excited to bring this project and various tools to the community. The press page will be updated as we push for more coverage.
Expect to see more tools and features as we continue to build out the ecosystem. Bull or bear, we are building.

TVL
Refers to Total Value Locked, which is the total value of all assets locked in a protocol or chain.
DeFi
Short for Decentralized Finance. DeFi is a term used to describe financial services that are provided by decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts on blockchains.
Protocols
Protocols are the smart contracts that make up the DeFi ecosystem. (Eg; DEXs, Staking Pools, Services, Yield Aggegators, Lenders and so on.) View all categories
DEXs
Decentralized Exchanges are platforms that allow users to trade cryptocurrencies via smart contracts and smart contract based liquidity pools.
Liquidations
Liquidations are the process of selling collateral to repay a loan. This is done when the value of the collateral falls below the value of the loan. This means all collateral is lost and returned to cover a position. Liquidations are a risk of borrowing.
Oracles
Blockchain oracles are entities that connect blockchains to external systems, thereby enabling smart contracts to execute based upon inputs and outputs from the real world. Essentially acting as on-chain APIs that you can query to get information on smart contracts.
Market Cap
The total value of a cryptocurrency. 'Circulating Market Cap' is calculated by multiplying the price of a coin by the number of coins in circulation. 'Total' or 'Diluted Market Cap' is calculated by multiplying the price of a coin by the total number of coins in existence.
Liquidity
The amount of a cryptocurrency that is available to be traded in the market. In the case of DEXs this is typically a measure of the amount of liquidity in a tokens pool.
Liquidity Pools / Automated Market Makers
Smart contract based liquidity pools are a way that traders or projects are able to provide liquidity on decentralized exchanges. AMMs facilitate trades via maths and amounts in pair tokens, rather than Peer to Peer exchanges in which users trade with other people.

Wormhub DeFi Tools feature TVL aggregation for DeFi (Decentralized Finance). Our data is taken from various sources including DefiLlamas open-source adapters and maintained by passionate individuals and contributors from hundreds of protocols. Additional thanks to CoinGecko, Infura and Etherscan for the data/APIs they provide.
This helps Wormhub track over 2000 DeFi protocols from over 150 different blockchains.
Due to lack of thought into some of the current options for the tools (and goals) we want to achieve: we may look to create more of our own blockchain tracker, APIs and data sources in the future.
